Cool stuff Greg. The individual of NWA 2696 would be obscure in a big pile of
NWA 869's.
A nice reminder to bring your magnets to Tucson...and be sure to go through the
piles. :)
I was hoping to make it to Tucson again this year, but it looks doubtful. I may

I've been trying to send an email to Art but it keeps bouncing back
saying his mailbox is full. Anyone know an alternative contact for Art?
Or should I just keep trying until it gets through?

Hmmm... April 13, 2029 is a Friday... Glad I am not superstitious, but I am

really good enough to project out 25 years on such a small object?

As a rule, meteorites do not fall down on inhabited localities. They
prefer to hit seas, lakes, fields and even the Antarctic.
One of the pieces flew into a kitchen window and burnt a plastic
container there.

Yes and no. The calculating capabilities are certainly not the
limiting factor, but rather the limited amount of observations

Dear List,
Thought I would share some excitement over NWA 3133 after the recent talks
at AGU. It looks like Northwest Africa is beginning to be recognized as a
producer of some very important specimens. These are a few notes from
communications between scientists that were shared with me in
Hi Ken and List,
Experts do not know why incidents with meteorites have become so
frequent nowadays. One of the versions says that someone in deep black
space deliberately bombards the Earth with meteorites.

I'm wondering what the theory is on how armored chondrules get their coating?
Does the

liquid metal flows
around them?
