I have a really nice slice of Seymchan that weighs 195 grams.
It has the nicest inclusions of any slice that I cut from the original slab.
This is a large hand sized slice that's about 5mm thick and looks great from

Hi, Giovanni, List,
My apologies to Croatian TV, I guess. This is
my day to walk around with my foot in my mouth,
I suppose. There was a real fireball? And one of
the clips is of it? I wish (for the first time) that I
understood Serbo-Croatian. What's Serbo-Croat

Hi, All,
Media creativity. My congratulations to the TV
industry of Croatia (Hrvatska) for a SUPER-FAKE,
from one of the suckers. Didn't it look good at a
first casual glance? Nothing like the assumption of
honesty to dull your perceptions.

Hello all,
the videao has been assembled by the Croatian TV. I have benn told that they
mixed archive movies retrived through internet and images of the current
fireball. A croatian friend will send me some images, and possible a movie,
that is surely due to the fireball of July 25. Most of the
Hi, Giovanni, List,
Thanks for the video. This is one of the very best
fireball films I've ever seen! Truly spectacular!
In the first interview with an astronomer in the news
report, I was able to pick out only two words (or maybe
it was one word): SUPER-BOLIDE.
I suspect it was mass

I'm curious about this news report. It seems to show several different
fireballs. The first one, however, is a video that has been circulating
for at least a year. I haven't seen any good explanation as to what it
is, but it almost certainly isn't a meteor. Is the fireball shown at the

Hello Mike,
I have not yet read an official publication on the IIG proposal for the
five members you mentioned, but perhaps I just missed it. I presume it
will be accepted when published by the present-day dean of irons.
Here is a synopsis of the classification parameters for the various iron
This can not be true, I saw this vide on YouTube while
in Colombia on the night of the 24th. It is not a
meteorite, it is a rocket or firework. You can clearly
see that it is low, below the clouds, it is arcing,
and you can see a black object at the front, between
the bright flashes. All impossible

Hi List,
I recently saw a small Tombigbee iron on ebay incorrectly listed as
ungrouped, which it was, till the the Guanaco meteorite was
determined to be the 5 member necessary to form a group.
My question is this: Why IIG? Why not IIIG, or IVC? or some other
designation?
Thanks,
