Hi Jason,
I'd say, it's to early to theorize in that very thread.
Cause it seem to me, that you and Elton are talking at cross-purposes.
Because I suppose, that Elton hadn't yet such an example of a fusion crusted
iron in his hand. So that the initial base for that discussion isn't given
yet.

Hello List,
Ending tomorrow is another fine batch of some great meteorite books and
publications. Have a look if you get the chance. Old issues of Meteoritics,
some rare off-prints, Antarctic meteorites, etc..
Have a great weekend!

Not sure if Dr. Wasson has written any papers regarding fusion crusts on irons,
but I would think he would endorse anything on the web page.

Thanks for sharing that Dirk.
To my relatively inexperienced eyes, the rock that Mr. X is holding shows no
signs of ablation. It also appears to be fairly light in weight, judging
from the way he's rotating it around in his hands. I wonder if he owns a
magnet? I couldn't find him in the phone
Dear List Members,
I would like to announce NWA 4470, a NEW Anomalous Eucrite. I loaded all of
the largest pieces on eBay at great pricing! All 34 specimens with a

Yes. Thank you for the updates, Dirk and yes, Linton, your justified in your

Hi all,
I recently had the good fortune to find a few new meteorites, and would like to
clean them. Nothing drastic: just enough to remove the dirt, dust and salt
deposits so my hands don't end up filthy every time I pick one up. Do I need
to take any special precautions? Does cleaning

I'm going to try and post again, I seem to be locked out for some

PayPal account to buy some much needed meteorites, but no go.

One reason I am happy to have my site:
www.wanderingstarmeteorites.com
up and running and am currently offering 10% off any meteorite right now!
Does suck however as I am sure many will have to sell ebay items for .99 bids
that are worth a good deal more then the low bids they had before ebay
Hey Johnno! Yeah, I tried to get a last second bid in and could not. I bet this
glitch cost some sellers a lot of money.

Hi John,
I noticed the same thing a few hours ago and had a couple people email me
saying they could not see my new Anomalous Eucrite, NWA 4470, on eBay. No
worries, if anyone is interested in a direct email list of what is still
available, I will put together the list and send private emails
Hi Eric,
Instead of using water, I would recommend alcohol instead. This will help
prevent rusting. And baking the meteorites to dry them is also a good idea.
This seems to work for me.

I would assume that a technical problem with ebay that resets auction prices to
their starting bid is a legitimate reason to cancel the auction.
I can't see how ebay could ding a dealer for doing this, especially if ebay and
paypal won't get the maximum profit from lots that had higher bids.
Hi Paul -
Denial is not simply a river in Egypt anymore.
I wonder if the new NASA data show the 3 extinctions between each of those 100
million year extcintions. Its funny how the press release data make no mention
of them, but then there's nothing funny about the battle between Morrison and
