Tried (unsuccessfully) to post this last night. No new information.

Hello Eric and all,
Very nice stone, but it brings up a question I've had for several years about
oriented stones that have clearly broken in flight and have secondary crust
on the rear side surrounded by a nice rollover lip. Unless there are good
flow lines showing that this was the

About what time was the meteor seen?

It was around 9:30 or so.
Heard it flashed green and lit up the area.
Best wishes

Hello Frank,
Good question. I think almost all crust on small pieces would be secodary
unless part of a small rock is from the outside of the larger main meteoroid
body when it comes in.
If there is even a bit of a nose cone shape to a fragmented part, I would guess
it might be easy for a
Hi all,
Eric is right - there are very few stones being found in Wisconsin.
Just think, If great hunters like Rob Maston, Marc Fries and others
came back empty handed you know the stones are few and far between.
Although we all heard rumors that more was found they ended up being

Just a little background for you before you write again. Joe has been hunting
for strewn fields in farmers' fields in just to the south for years, and come

Besides his two sons, Joe also has a wife. I

Michael,
if your book is already in a format such as M$ Word or Open Office Writer,
simply install CutePDF Writer. Once installed you print the file to it instead
of a printer and it generates a PDF file. (Works great on web pages too.)
It's free:

I just got the totals for my Meteorite Display at the Boy Scout day at Dinosaur

There are plenty left, many are in the hands of locals. Many are still being
picked up. Many more will be found in the next month. Now that meteorites have
been introduced to the public, everyone young and old is out there having a

Hi All,
I just returned from my second hunt in Wisconsin. I hunted a total of 9
