when an object is not in a tightly bound orbit confiscation and just
gets pushed rather than crushed?
That was a question out of left field!
I'm not familiar with orbit confiscations, but, if you mean that the
object is free floating far away ... That would be the case of
something distant

Hi List,
I wanted to share some exciting news about a phone call I recently
received.
While I was out in the field looking for meteorites I came across some
fossilized bones that were eroding out of the desert ground. I took a
few pictures and showed them to the agency responsible for that
Aw, c'mon Mike, it's a polymict planetary with diamonds. And for only $152!
LOL, I wonder how much this will go for?

Hi List,
Here is another unfortunate example of an obvious meteorwrong being
offered as a pallasite.
Nice! I'm envious in a great way, from the confines of the home.
Of Meteorites and Mammoths? ... a title exuding trail pheromones!
Just goes to show, you never know what you will find in the desert.

This find sure beats the hoisted, crucified cows I remember you telling
Wowsers! 300 bucks. I'm in the wrong business!

the time-measurements (relatively speaking) designations Ga and Ma used,
and their respective differences?
(I believe I know the difference through context, but why go through so many
papers and texts
Ga is billions (gigayear) of years. Ma is millions (megayear) of years.

publications.

Thanks Doug! Another great explanation
When papers write things such as Ma (relative age) as a subtext, one
begins to question the long-held definition in one's head.
