I'm deeply interested in your new meteorites, and this is a pretty dopey thread
(Silly-sounding Meteorite Names), except for Phil's mashup.
Any for sale? Will it be the usual deal where an ordinary chondrite starts at
100-plus per gram and falls by 75% over the next 18 months? Got official
Hi Paul and List,
A long time ago (2008), Michael went on a hiatus and the RSPOD
vanished for a couple of weeks. During that period, I stepped into
the breach and started hosting an alternate version called Space Rocks
POD. This was not intended as competition or a replacement for

Phil's mash-up was hilarious. The laugh I got from that was well
worth the flak I caught for starting the thread.
Strange thing is, lots of serious meteorite science gets discussed on
this list. The archives show that. A visit to the archives will show

Hi Carleton,
On the subject of place names we wish meteorites could be found at,
Iron Lightning sounds electric ... being more of a hunter type there is
a name I'd also love, and while we are wishing, why not wish for the
kit and caboodle? Not only would it make a good meteorite name, but
Aloha Fellow Meteorite Enthusiasts,
I have been quite on the list as I changed careers over the summer,
but recently received analysis results of four beautiful HED stones

Hi all,
The Denver show is fast approaching and in fact some vendors will
start selling as soon as next Weekend! Many of us from Arizona will
attend for the first time ever as vendors. Mike Miller, myself, and
several other Arizonans will be set up at the coliseum.
Would the Met-list be
Hi Ruben,
I believe a feed from the Denver show would have a beneficial effect on future
show attendance. People who can't, or didn't attend, could see what they are
missing. How can it not promote sales when you get to see the offerings? Good

I, for one, want to thank you for all that
Hi Ruben List,
I would enjoy watching a live feed of the Denver show from home in
Hawaii. I was fortunate to be there in person at the Sky Bar for the
live Birthday Bash feed in Tucson this past February, but I am not
able to attend the Denver Show.
I agree with the Count that this
Hi Ruben,
I enjoyed the live feeds from Tucson earlier this year. And since I am not
in a position to travel now, or any time soon, I would look forward to
another live feed, assuming that it can be done.
Thanks much for looking into this!!!
