What is the cheapest and easiest way to get a meteorite classified?
I just purchased a meteorite collection with some unclassified nwa's in the mix
and there is one that looks different than an ordinary chondrite. Kind of looks
like sand and some green crystals under the remnants of fusion crus

I did. It is very hard to judge from pictures. Now that I looked at it in
person, I'm about 75% sure it's space junk and not a meteorite. If anybody
wants me to post the picts that I took of the object, I will. Derek.

There are several meteorite collectors that also collect Gold nuggets. I would
like to trade a 1.3 Gram Zagami with crust or other specimens that I have, for
about a 30 gram gold nugget with character. Please email me off list, Thanks,

I have a 2.4323g chunk of the Zagami meteorite on Ebay. This specimen is of the
rarer coarse lithology (only about 20% of the stone) and has nice shinny black
fusion crust. This specimen is half of the 5 gram piece that was sold from the
Elbert King collection. Thanks, Derek.

I'm thinking about buying a small collection of "cooler" NWA's but I'm unsure

with cool stories, but I thought that this would round out the collection
better. Plus they are great under the microscope. Can anyone on t

I've heard that this might be a witnessed fall. There was a fireball in the
area a few years prier to the find in the orchard. There is VERY little
rust and the fusion crust is intact. When I got the specimen, I also
received the original paperwork that King and Van Buckwald did on the
specimen.
Hi to the list! I'm new to this list but I've collected meteorites for a
