Howdy all There was a noontime bolide over eastern Maine this past Saturday which produced a meteorite fall. There was only one NEXRAD radar in range of this event but it appears in four radar sweeps, complete with short-range turbulence from falling rocks. Details can be found here:

Aid, These look like nice meteorites and I don't doubt that these are genuine. I do find it hard to believe that the small craters were formed from these stones. The craters look dug and appear too large and deep for the little rocks your are displaying. Am I missing something? Best Regar

Nothing has been found as far as I know. I heard that two persons spent a week last summer looking for the meteorite but found nothing and I'm not surprised. The area is covered with low shrubs and wetlands and in the summer it is a mosquito infested hell. You would have to walk right over a sto
