I lived in Eastern Oregon for 2 years. At the end of the time I
Was there I drove to the west coast and was blown away when
I crossed into the wooded mt.s and then into the lush coastal area.
The part I lived in was more barren than the inner part of So. CA.
So, I could see a meteorite
Michael is right, I've spent some time adventuring all over in Eastern
and Central Oregon. It's high desert, dry, and rocky. If memory serves
the area near Bend, Oregon is volcanic, and to the east is Smith Rock
State Park. There's a beautiful river that runs through the park, filmed

Everything that is east of the Cascades in Oregon is a semi desert. It
is both very dry, Isolated and there are roads that stretch on for a
hundred miles without gas, food and shelter. The Oregonites call it the
Oregon outback! The problem hunting Oregon is there is many stones out
