You are completely right Michael. This is true not only in Botany but also
in the recent meteorite history.
A couple of years ago, I purchesed Turkmenbashi and Heze (names that
are still on the original labels). Many of us probably still remember that

Hola Adam, I don't think so. I don't remember who gave it that name,
Amgala was the provisional working name for Oum Dreyga. The meteorite
fell
between Amgala and Oum Dreyga in the country of Western Sahara. It was
determined later on to have fallen closer to Oum Dreyga than Amgala thus
the
new name. The coordinates were provided by us from the beginning
