Hello list,
in a booklet I found a leaflet of the American Meteorite Museum
printed in 1946/47. Here Dr.H.H.Nininger tells his visitors
what they can expect to see : Among many others - 22 famous meteorites;
but he does not mention the names of these meteorites and I don't have
the answers myself,

Hi Ed,
It's a scam. I'll bet they ask for your user name, password,
bank account number, social security number, etc. It's an identify theft scam.
Ebay will NEVER ask for these.I just received one of these "notices" the other
day and then notified the real ebay. Check your "propeties" from
Hello Ed. I had one of these also last week that I
posted to the list. This is called spoofing, and there
is a section in eBay if you dig hard enough to contact
them about this. Like Frank said... DO NOT GIVE THEM
ANY INFORMATION! Good luck.

Hello Peter and all,
Got most of the names of Nininger's meteorites, either from Find a Falling
Star (FAFS) or the Catelog of Meteorites(COM). Need help and/or verification
for numbers 5, 13, 15 and 21. A list follows:
1. Baxter, 1916, Stone County, MO. (COM)
2. Kilbourne, 1911, Columbia
Dear List,
many thanks to everyone which has been interested in my Mesosiderite
special offer. I also have the official NWA number for the meteorite
now, its NWA1882.
I have heard that the metal rich Diogenite NWA1827 is classified and
submitted also as a Mesosiderite. I think, that this
Hello Stefen and List,
I agree, the metal-rich diogenite (NWA 1827 provisional) is probably the
same as your NWA 1882 and was submitted as a mesosiderite. This is what
happens when a heterogeneous stone is studied and not all the petrologic
boundaries are crossed, no fault of the scientists.
Hello List, who is the NomCom? Is it government, or what?
Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom.
NomCom is short for Nomenclature Committee. They are a group of mainly
scientists who oversee the naming of new meteorites for example NWA or
Park Forest. A meteorite is not official until this committee reviews data
gathered for the suspected meteorite, vote on it and provide a

Tom,
You inserted a link, not the logo. You will need to revise your auction and
put the proper HTML string in place. Be careful to to violate Ebays size
limit on logos. You will also have to upload the corresponding GIF or JPEG
that goes with the logo. If it is not uploaded to whatever image
