Having seen a couple US desert meteorites and a couple NWAs up close, they seem

Hi Michael,
I am very particular about from whom I buy meteorites.
It would be helpful if you would post the key to who has placed meteorites
in your auction, on the auction page. It looks like you only have two
people so far, and I think I can figure out who they are, but there are

Hello John, Mark and Martin,
From the pictures I've seen of this nice iron meteorite, it looks to me like
the kamacite bands are recrystallized. If this is just for the outer part of
the meteorite, it is most likely the feat-affected zone, also called alpha-2
zone, generated during atmospheric

Hello list,
I guess I should first state I do not think Kaufman is a fall. Having said
that and not researched it enough to really give much thought in the

It is an e-mail I got from an ebay bidder, which by ebay rules means I can

There NWA 801 is described as an R3-6. Maybe this should have
been NWA 800, but NWA 800 is ... an R4

Donald E. Brownlee,
Hi,
I've updated the auction site (http://www.metsale.com) to a new version and
a new look. Some things are now easier to use.
Please have a look, go there, register, sell and bid. This site depends on
YOU. Don't be shy - it's beneficial to sellers and buyers alike, and it
would be a shame if

Guess it's some kind of inversion OR something. (Not OF Sorry for

Nice clear skies w/ some slight wind - light pollution not too bad. Saw one
really nice fireball before I retreated from the bitterly cold ~55 degrees!
;-) Seriously, it's too bad these things don't generate meteorites (or can
they rarely produce?). Wish I had something to take some video.
