Hi Matteo,
I had several slices of Brahin from Afanasjev, which were lacquered with a
kind of glue. Kept in an airtight box with dry agent they were totally
stable for 2 years, another slice I had more than 6 years without any
problems and as far as I know, they are still all o.k.
Cheers!
Hello Martin, Matteo, John, Tim, all,
I also got a Brahin slice from Afanasjev 3 years ago, mint and not
lacquered. It started getting rust spots after a couple of weeks and was
almost completely destroyed after 6 months.
I realize that Serge now found a way to protect Brahins but I did not dare

Hi again,
does anyone has experiences with the Brahins from Koutyrev/finmet?
He praises them to be totally stable for years (you can put in salt

I wonder, how he could know that his method helps, as he uses it obviously
not longer than a year or so (as far as I

Martin,
I purchased some thin slices of Brahin from Ivan Koutyrev at finmet about
six months ago. I've kept them stored singly in nothing more secure than
ziploc bags. To date, none of my pieces show any evidence of rust or other
deterioration. I'm pretty satisfied.

Hi, Martin,
I bought a 40 gram slice about two years ago from Koutyrev/finmet, who

was before any new method.) Beautiful. I put it in an acrylic display box.
Three weeks later, it was rusty everywhere. I

Yes, it is sad, but that is what happens, he is not a poor man and does'nt
need money, so the meteorite will not be cheap if sold at all.

reason to see the house. This one just got taken care of to fast.
