I've noticed that as well. I havn't graphed it yet but I'd say that at least
75% of all newbie questions, asked of the list, get blown off. But talk about
a muddy rock on ebay goes on for days! Where is the real concern? Genuine
sharing is not always forthcoming for many obvious reasons.
This year the 24th Annual New Mexico Mineral Symposium held at Socorro, Nov. 7, 8, and 9, will have two talks on meteorites. Both talks held on Saturday. At 2:00 PM, Meteorite reproductions by Jack Thompson, Jim Hurlbut and Jack Murphy, and Meteorites of New Mexico at 3:30 PM by Bill Nash.

I solved the dip mystery in the Antarctic data -- my plot only
included data for chondrites that had both Fa and Fs measured for
them. I went back to my original data and extracted ALL the
Antarctic equilibrated chondrites that had masses reported --
10145 of them (vs. 3454 before). This
