Greetings,
I was wondering how many Indiana Collectors we have on the list these days.
I sometimes come across Indiana Specimens so if you collect these, please
contact me off list so I can put your name on my list (and so you won't miss
out on these difficult collectables) of people who may
I have the worst sunburn of my life and my legs feel like
they were run over by a tractor, yet I am having the time of my life. I
found my first fall and many more and have made some new life-long
friends. The food is fantastic, the people are friendly, and we are the
first people to gaze
Hello,
What an adventure!
My son Christopher and I just made it back from West, Texas and we had
a very lucky bountiful trip. He found his very first meteorite there
and his biggest West beauty was 44 grams!
A lot to be said about this wonderful event, but after 14 hours of
driving I

Suppose you have 3 specimens of a fairly common meteorite. Specimen #1 is
a nice 100g individual. #2 is an equally nice 100g endcut with a polished
face. #3 is a similarly nice 100g full slice, 3mm thick, with one side
polished and the other side rough. All specimens are of equal quality

Hi list,
So I noticed that some list members seem to receive their list emails
every time somebody posts, getting a large number of emails a day,
whereas I receive only 1-2 emails a day that include up to 15 posts in
each. I would like to be notified whenever somebody posts so I can
respond to

Dear list members,
I have created a PDF file of my collection, with pictures of meteorites and
related. If you would like to see it, just contact me off-list and I will send
it to you (~7Mo, 36p, ~100 meteorites from ~50 different locations, several
with museum pedigree).
My best regards,
Teddy/All,
This seems to happen fairly frequently, though I haven't measured it by any
means. Very often get a response to an initial post but not the post
itself...but definitely getting more than a handful of emails/day so it's
not to the extent you describe below...

All,
I've been fortunate to see Arnaud's collection file in draft form and must
say it's absolutely, positively worth taking a look. Very nice collection
and very nice presentation of the same. Congrats, Arnaud!

I listed a few samples the the meteorite Ted Bunch was kind enough to classify
for me on ebay.
It is provisional and the assigned name is NWA 5511 and it has been classified
as an LL5 chondrite.
This meteorite has a very nice look to it and low TKW of only 387 grams (prior
to cutting).

Hello,
The 6 gram specimen from earlier today already sold.
This evening I have a 36.24 gram, very sweet individual. This piece
has 97% fusion crust and the spot where the fusion crust is gone, is
like a window into the beautiful white interior.. It is also, slightly
oriented and has

We have some eBay auctions ending soon:
Here are the links of Tamdakht fragments that we found on 17 February
2009, both have a picture in-situ and these fragments are sold with a
piece of the rock ejected during the impact:
