Hello everybody,
Yes, another batch posted, and a big one, some 60 pieces.
And a very ecclectic bunch it is. Some with names you all know, like

Well, it was interesting to see how the Meteorite Men collectible slabs
went on Ebay this past week. I was genuinely surprised to see the complete
set of 18 go actually go for more than the 18 individuals did. I thought it

Hi Mark:
For Earth, 20 times (give or take), not 50.
This new spot, from what I can tell, looks to be on the small end of the
SL9 impactors, so we are talking about under a kilometer in diameter, I
would guess.
Also, it is likely that this event came in at a higher velocity than SL9

Has anyone heard an estimate for the size of the impactor yet.
If I recall correctly, for an object reaching Earth's surface with
cosmic velocity, the rule of thumb is that the crater diameter is 50
times the impactors diameter. I am guessing that factor for Jupiter's
cloud layer is going to b

Well, your friend taking pics is wearing black pants with white shoes. I would
go with darker color shoes with black pants or lighter pants with white shoes.
Even the body language of the E.T. behind him says it all. :-D

I've dusted off this stone out of my box of NWA Unclassifieds, and I think it's

Well Elton,
there I have a different opinion than you, as I want to protect our
collectors, especially the new ones, from fraud.
I know of four cases, where Chicago-Steve distributed meteorites, which were
not that, what he claimed they are. In one case it was even a fake and no
meteorite at all.
If you are thinking about responding to the "Freebies" string please consider
this before you make your final decision. I love you all one way or another,
Peace.

This is for everyone on both sides: This is not per se about the source of the
conflict but the way the members deal with it
I guess Tom is afraid, that Chicago-Steve will start to spam the list again
with his advertisements, because impolite and ruthless as he is, he abused
the list in past excessively for his sales promotions.
