There is a metal detecting show on the National Geographic Channel (NGC)
tonight at 9:00 PM EST where the guys are at Glorieta, NM hunting for a
'variety' of treasures. the show is called, Diggers. It will be
interesting to see if they find any meteorites!!

I will make a prediction. They will find a smallish specimen (maybe
about 100g), which they will claim is worth one million dollars. A
graphic of $1,000,000 will be plastered on the screen along with a

They might be the nicest guys in the world.
Reality TV is shameless and there is very little reality in any of
it. It's well established now that many reality shows are entirely
scripted. Or, if not 100%
All of these shows are fake, every last one of them, down to Pawn Stars and
treasure hunting shows. We dug up and sold a pallasite for well over $500,000
and guess what, it wasn't on any show, know why? Because it was real, not
scripted and not staged so it wasn't on TV.

These guys are horrible
They don't even possess proper etiquette.
They dig plugs instead of flaps or hinges. Plugs of grass die and leave hidden
holes for children, adults and animals to break their ankles in later on. They

I think ya'll have unrealistic expectations about what a show like
this should entail. It's primary purpose is entertainment, and it's
primary audience is NOT hardcore relic hunters or detectorists. I
invite you to create a pilot and pitch a show about metal detecting
Entertainment for what? 6 year olds? The nectar sector juice zone, not sure
we should talk about names.
This show is not of the level I would expect from National Geographic.
Sorry but I am not interested in reality tv. It is a waste of time worse than
any video game or meteorite hunt.
