Just received a magazine with an article about the Chelybinsk
meteorite fall. The article in Mineralogical Alamnac Mineral
Observer includes lots of information about the fireball and all the
havoc it caused. There is also a excellent section on the hunting
techniques that had to be used

distinct species. But they seem to have an inter-related history that
ends up putting them in many of the same collections.
And you live quite close to a hot-bed of discovery and debate about
tektites.
I purchased the main mass of Dhofar 1724 from Lukasz Smula to create a 50mm
sphere to fill the H4 spot in my collection.
I received it and processed it into rough cuts.
I have 2 full end cuts, 1 full slice and then a variety of left over pieces.
