Hi all - Perhaps modeling the fall of the fragments remaining after the airburst at Chelyabinsk may provide some estimate as to the location of the landing site of any fragments left after the Tunguska airburst.
Even if most of the Tunguska impactor turned to fine dust, perhaps some lof it survived intact with momentum. Of course, after more than 100 years on the ground, it is highly unlikely that any piece survives survives intact, but even a soil stain could clear up a lot of mysteries. good hunting, Ed ______________________________________________ Visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/meteoritecentral and the Archives at http://www.meteorite-list-archives.com Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com https://pairlist3.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
