[meteorite-list] Large fireball over Arizona last night!

2006-12-28 Thread Michael Farmer
Hi everyone, I was too busy loading over 150 auctions
last night to post this.

There was a large fireball over northern Arizona last
night. My sister saw it from Show Low at around ~7:15
pm I think. She said it was very large and green and
looked to be heading to the west or southwest. An hour
later Robert Ward called me excited, saying that while
driving near Kingman, he saw the same fireball light
up the sky. I just spoke to him again and he said that
in Prescott, the fireball lit up the entire sky nearly
like daylight through the clouds!
Has anyone heard any other reports? All of Arizona is
under a large rain/snowstorm right now, so hunting is
out of the question at the moment.

Hello list and Michael,

you better not be so lucky to have a new find just before the year ends!
Just teasing!

But could you imagine that being the case?
We all could celebrate New Year's together and having the greatest
celebration ever finding meteorites while drinking champagne!!!

Hope to hear more about this!! :-)

With best regards,
Moni
