Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorites With Holes

2019-05-12 Thread MICHAEL BLOOD via Meteorite-list
I would like to thank all those who have sent me so many photos of meteorites
with holes,
including the following:
Alex, Eidel, Arlene Schiazer, Bern Pauli, Bob Verish, John, Lutzon, John
Mixter, Kevin Witts, Mike Gilmer, Peter Scherff, Robert Mularczyk, Robert
Woodard, Roberto Vargas and Sean Murry.

However, alone with my collection, these "only" amount to several dozens and I
would like to have sever hundred in the book. I know they are out there
please be aware that your specimen increases in value if featured in a book and
increases drematically if it makes the cover.

I need all good holes, but especially am laking in large meteorties. If you
ever photographed the Tucson Ring, you own the rights to the photo and I
encourage you to submit it, please (first one in/first one used (given equal
quality).

C'mon you guys! I kNOW some of you have some nice, big fat meteorites with
holes!

Please send as attached JPG (s) to: mlbl...@cox.net

Thanks, everyone,
Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there!
Michael

Thanks to all those who have sent in photos so far! Some really nice
Specimens and some of the photos are stunning! (We have some very
Talented photographers on this list).

Some have asked if their photos were OK - hell yes! If it is in focus
And decent solid background they are all great - you don’t have to
Be a spectacular photographer for your specimen to SHINE!

I do hope the others of you who have specimens with holes will be willing
to submit them…. I hope you know, when a specimen appears in a book
it goes up in value…and if it is so impressive as to make the cover - it goes
up A LOT.

Thanks, again,
Michael

I am putting together a photo book of meteorites with holes.

Anyone with any meteorites with holes is welcome to have your
Meteorite(s) featured in the book. Please submit photos to me
Off-list at my personal email: mlbl...@cox.net
Please put “METEORITES WITH HOLES” in the Subject Box
Of the email and include your full name, which will be credited
For each photo in the book (Unlike at least one misspelled
Name in the Orientation book, I will be certain to copy-paste your
Name for full credit.

Unlike my book on Aspects of Meteorite Orientation, this book
Will only utilize photos in fine focus and with good contrasting
Backgrounds. I have published multiple books since the Orientation
Book and the quality is now excellent.

The Kindle version will be in full color while the
Paperback will be color on cover only, B&W in the inside pages.

Kindly send photos ASAP to: mlbl...@cox.net

Sincere thanks - and a blessed Easter to all,

Michael Blood__

[meteorite-list] METEORITES WITH HOLES

2002-06-13 Thread Steve Arnold, Chicago!!!

Good morning all from Chicago! I was wondering if there is anyone out
there if anyone has any type of meteorites with a hole in them for sale. I
recently purchased a piece of mundrabilla, 232 grams with a nice big hole
in it. I really believe, that a hole in a meteorite, really gives it a
mystique about it. please let me know. also special kudos for Mr.Bessey
for coming thru for me. I purchased a 20.6 gram piece of NWA 001 from
him. After a week of looking around, he came thru for me with a nice price.
Thanks again dean!

   STEVE ARNOLD, CHICAGO, THE COLLECTOR!!!
