As a man who has earned much of his living in the art and collectible resale
business.
This is actually much worse news than people may realize.
If these things are actually made of real glass then the testing of them for
H2O will be difficult because all of the water was removed
that were palmed off on them without verification.
The fakes are getting better, and Leon's getting LAGER!!!

However this is not new.
Several years ago (4-5-6 years???) one of my customers had the occasion to
go to Hong Kong. While there he saw moldavites being sold in many shops,
of course they were the apple-green type, and very very cheap, so he bought a
couple of them for me,
My buddy Justin has been doing fakeminerals for a while. He might be open to a
fakemeteorites and fakefossils site but those are not his areas of expertise.
If people are willing to help with content, I can talk to him about doing a
fakemeteorites site/blog.

Reported this 2 or 3 years ago from Tokyo show, lots of large flawless green
moldavites selling mounted in jewelry very cheap compared to what real ones of
that size would cost.
Just molten glass.
That is why i prefer meteorites.

real things by composition. Moldavites have less than 1% sodium as
