Dear List,
Bert King was invited to curate and catalogue the Vatican collection. I remember he was amazed by all the pomp and circumstance at the Vatican and described it to us in detail. He was honored by being asked to write his name in quite an old guest book that contained the names of such notables as Enrico Fermi, etc. He was pretty awed.
He very much enjoyed the opportunity to catalogue the Vatican collection properly.
