Hi Lynoure
Yes that email has been 'overtaken by events' :-)
Specifically the fix that was put in to prevent the 'NO DOTS' problem
also prevented project names containing dashes (amongst other things).
So the name would need to be mp_py343_dj18 (with underscores and not dashes)
I also decided to go back to using 'virtualenv' rather than 'pyenv' for
my virtual environments (because I am a bit cautious and virtualenv is
the 'standard' product.) and just went with the versions of 2.7.x and
3.4.x versions of Python already installed on Ubuntu....
Regards
Graham

mp-py343-dj18 (NO DOTS!)
At this point I get:
"mezzanine-project: error: mp-py343-dj18 is an invalid Python package
name, specifically it must start with a lowercase letter or
underscore, followed by zero or more lowercase letters, numbers, or
underscores"
which I expect to be business as usual and totally expected despite no
one yet commenting on it here. Proceeded with a different project
name. To my pleasant surprise, createdb and runserver just worked,
printing only one tiny seems_safe_to_ignore warning:
core.SitePermission.user: (fields.W342) Setting unique=True on a
ForeignKey has the same effect as using a OneToOneField.
HINT: ForeignKey(unique=True) is usually better served by a
OneToOneField.
This is my first touch with Mezzanine, and I decided to dive into the
deep end off the pool right away, as I just could not bring myself to
use Django 1.6 for fun. If there are any specific testing needs, feel
free to let me know. I think I'll enjoy this adventure!
