It's 2018 now :) You can show Categories in admin menu by add
"blog.BlogCategory" to ADMIN_MENU_ORDER
so it's like:
ADMIN_MENU_ORDER = (
("Content", ("pages.Page", "blog.BlogPost", "blog.BlogCategory",
"generic.ThreadedComment", (_("Media Library"), "media-library"),)),
("Site", ("
Hello Iain, if you're still clickable on placeholder menu. Please sure you
don't override template by any theme. Cause menuplaceholder has conditions
by itself
{% if page.in_menu %}
{% if page.menuplaceholder %}{{ page.title
}}{% else %}
{{ page.title }}
{% endif %}
You need put locale folder in your theme app, it'll override default locale
