Shawn, I may be having this same issue with a ios client. I recently added
L2TP for him and he told me it didn't connect.
I sent him a screen shot of my working windows setup and haven't heard back.
I'll check my logs and see if he got connected.

Anyone else having issue connection to mikrotik on ios 10 via l2tp/ipsec?
Works fine on all other devices but fails from iphone.
