I have an old laptop with m$ vista installed. Upgrading is not an option. Is
ther3 a site that has the most recent MiKTeX distribution that will run under
vista. And, yes, I know that vista itself is out of support.

The only disadvantage that I'm aware of is that icons for the applications
don't appear on the desktop. When you open portable MiKTeX, you get a small
icon on the task bar and you access, e.g., TeXworks from that.
