It should not be included in a tool chain targeting windows

I suggest you take a look at precompiled headers. 
(https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Precompiled-Headers.html)
According to my experience it could cut C++ compile time by about 40% on 
Windows (and about 60%-70% on Linux).
