Greetings! The www.open-mpi.org sysadmins forwarded your mail to me;
I'm posting here on the mirr...@open-mpi.org list where we talk about
mirror stuff (you'll need to join the list in order to reply to the
list -- we only allow subscribers to post in order to control spam).
See http://www.open-mpi.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/mirrors.
First off -- thanks! It would be fantastic to pick up a mirror in
India. Have you seen this page:
http://www.open-mpi.org/community/mirrors/become-a-mirror.php
It details how to mirror the Open MPI site. We usually do not mirror
the mailing list archives simply because they are so large and
frequently changing. However, if you do desire to mirror the mailing
lists, let's open a discussion on what the best way to do it would be
-- we would need to adjust some of the PHP on the web site to make
this happen properly.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am working in a research institute in India and we are using open-
mpi. I am one of the supporter of freeware, see sites developed by
my group are http://www.imtech.res.in/raghava/ , http://
crdd.osdd.net/ , http://bic.uams.edu/ . I wish to set mirror site at
our institute see http://crdd.osdd.net/mirror/open-mpi/ or http://crdd.imtech.res.in/mirror/open-mpi/
. I am facing problem in downloading large files like
2008-05.tar.bz2, 2008-07.tar.bz2 . I want to know whether
maintaining these files is important.
Regards
Raghava
