Greetings,
I set up this mail server (postfix/dovecot/mysql) some years back.
There is an issue with ntpd (read below). Any idea why I am not
geting the right time?
-bash-3.2$ uname -prs
OpenBSD 4.2 SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIIi (rev 3.4) @ 1002 MHz, version 0 FPU
-bash-3.2$ cat /etc/ntpd.conf | grep
I know, I know! I proposed several times to upgrade, to no avail! Some
200 active e-mail boxes on this server, average 50 e-mails/user/day. I
took me a week or so to convince them to change the windblown domain
controller's time synchronization to an external ntp server! Ne jamais

Hi all.
I'm trying to use Sieve with Dovecot and imaps (OpenBSD 5.3).
When sieve protocol is enabled I can't connect to my IMAP server
anymore; as soon as I remove sieve from the protocols list it works again.
Here is the dovecot logs:

it is famous your mother if fat openbsd community style. I was not
asking whether it is secret or not. I was curious about common use
scenarios, where icmp timestamping is involved.
Hi,
1. Maybe I'm wrong but I think OpenBSD doesn't have a community like
other praised OSes, so there is no

Check /var/log/daemon, and check that there are no firewall rules etc

Some of the NTP servers that au.pool.ntp.org returns are very slow to respond,

If anyone in Calgary has a battery for a Dell Perc 6/i RAID controller
available, we urgently need one.
That's a Dell RAID card, they are the 3.7V 7A batteries with the

I apologise that I didn't predict such responces.
I was looking for real life examples, i.e. we use icmp timestamps
widely, because we use timed or a lot of devices like D-Link-NNN use
icmp timestamps.
I was not looking for theoretical possibilities that icmp timestamping gives.
I should mention
