The release in question is OpenBSD 4.8 with GENERIC.MP kernel. The main problem here is the acpitz device which shuts down the machine, reporting a very unusual (and innacurate) temperature: 255C/5282K. I got around this by disabling the device, but the underlying problem still remains and I
