I'd like to use the same pkg_add command across multiple OpenBSD versions
however installing ruby brings up an interactive choice between 1.8, 1.9, 2.0,
2.1.
I've tried the fuzzy match -z ruby-1.9 however it doesn't appear to match
version.
This works, but it's not desirable if it can be done

Hi,
sounds like the soekris is saying the sil3114 is more important.
Does the hardware decide precedence other than choosing the drive to boot
off? Because it chose the CF for that which is correct.
perhaps the maxtor drive also has a valid bootable partition at
the front and
When I connect a second drive to a sil3114 controller that drive is assigned
wd0 and my real boot drive becomes wd1. How can I force the drive I choose
to be wd0? Its a soekris 4801.
I assume its not a BIOs issue because it does start booting, and it should
get nowhere if that was wrong.
You could always try using vmxnet/vic.
Unfortunatly doesn't seem to be an option in the Workstation product, just
the ESX's.
Brad.

I'm running OpenBSD 4.0 in VMware workstation 5.5.3 build-34685 linux host.
Scp's between the guest and host only manage about 5KB/s so I tried going
back to le which worked great. I configured a new kernel with disable
pcn* but on next boot I had no nics at all, so i tried again disable pci*
I've had the same problem since 3.7 was released on all (vmware) machines
i've tried it on, i just copied floppy B conf over floppy C and it built
fine, I don't use the floppies anyway.
