Once that a device is flagged for "autoconfig", you can safely move the
config file for it away from /etc (that data is now stored in meta-data on
disk)
Otherwise it will try to configure it once automatically, then once
manually (safely failing the latter)

Goodmorning,
During boot my AMD64 machine with RAID setup shows me the following
messages:
raidctl: ioctl RAIDFRAME_CONFIGURE failed
raid0: Device already configured!
