In an article at http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=1142 there is an opinion: "Microsoft is looking at open-source software (OSS) as just another flavor of independent software vendors (ISV) software. Microsofts goal is to convince OSS vendors to port their software to Windows."
