I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this but, Section 3 "Checking the kernel" of the upgrade49.html doc has version numbers that probably should be fixed:
"...if you had a modified kernel in 4.7, it is likely you will need to modify the stock kernel of 4.8..." I believe this should be 4.8 and 4.9, respectively. Thanks to Theo and the entire OpenBSD team of developers for all the great work. Looking forward to the release of 4.9 (and the delivery of my CDs and t-shirt). Best regards. -- Chess Griffin
