Re: HPLIP HP Laserjet Pro MFP M130fn PPD Plugin installation fails

2017-06-24 Thread rehcla
Hi Antoine,

I can confirm that the Plugin installation works now for me:

cd plugin_tmp/
/local/bin/python2.7 plugin_install.py

Do you accept the license terms for the plug-in (y=yes*, n=no, q=quit) ? y
sh: lsb_release: not found

Done.

But I still cant get the printer to work!
The good news it that scanning works now, but if I try to print I get an error
about the missing plugin.

So here is what I did:

- Installing hplip / hplip-gui and gtk+2-cups / gtk+3-cups
- doing the plugin installation shown above

When I try to print a testpage hplip-systray says: required plugin not found!

I did copy HP_LaserJet_MFP_M129-M134.ppd from /etc/cups/ppd/ to
/usr/local/share/foomatic/db/source/PPD/HP/
(cause the gui setup is looking there), but no effect!

What am I missing?

Thx

Claus

The solution here was to update the pbr file for Windows’ bootloader.

Hi Krzych, Mike,

I too can recommend Radeon HD 6450, as a successor to HD 5450 in the 20W
(less heat) passive cooler (fanless), single slot optionally low profile
cards, especially from a Radeon only maker like Sapphire. I have a 5450
well working out of the box with acceleration, driving two monitors over
dual-link DVI cable for 2560x1440 plus VGA cable for 1280x1024 together.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon_HD_6000_Series#Radeon_HD_6400

Just remember to check your monitor inputs for card compatibility first.
You can still find 6450 brand new on the market, it works just the same.
The cards are good enough for showing multiple screen videos on OpenBSD.
You need to evacuate heat from the card, add-on case fan is recommended.

Kind regards,
