So to get it working,
I had httpd running in the management Rdomain
rcctl set httpd rtable 240
i put the slowcgi running in the main rdomain (default rdomain 0)
rcctl set slowcgi rtable 0
followed the man page man
bgplg
(upped the ram from 1GB to 4GB as I was loading 2 BGP full

I just updated to -current using a snapshot.
I then updated packages (pkg_add -vui), which updated courier-imap.
pkg_info | grep courier
