Damn, I actually made a mistake, that hasn't happened since the last
time I made a mistake.

Preach at you? I don't know you. Maybe you drink a six pack of beer
after work every night. Who knows?
Don't know C, learn it. Every one of us has limited time to do things.
We have to choose what to do in our time every day.

Ask the maintainer directly to do what you want if you aren't willing to
learn what is necessary. Maybe pay him/her that works sometimes.
Nobody here likes begging someone else to do work they might not have
time or desire to do.

But consider this. Joe Fulano de Tal and Mary Smith just started using
OpenBSD and signed up for the mailing lists. They think porting is way
over their heads. My email may have just motivated them to try to do a
port. They succeed. OpenBSD is then better than before.

So Joe and Mary, do your thing. I would love to see a new port I can use
or an update to some existing port no one else has time to update.

So consider my email for them, not you. You are too lazy to learn C.
