Hi, After receiving an email from oga@, I checked if the issue was related to APIC on this system.. it seems so, disabling ioapic+mpbios+acpimadt fixed the issue (..so did disabling APIC from the BIOS).
I can now get over 1000 FPS from glxgears, even if it isn't a valid benchmark. Sorry for the noise. -Bryan.
