It really DOES try to tell you what it wants, and what you have.
I looks for libc of version 95.0, och your system seems to be three
major versions lower, which implies you have not upgraded the system (from
bsd.rd, snapshots, source)
in a long while, but the people that build snapshot packages have, because
that is what the requirements
for running snapshot packages is. Keep the base,x11 and ports/packages in
sync.

Now there was a week recently where libc.94 was quite short-lived so if you
didn't upgrade every week from snapshots
you could end up with something similar to this, but here, I think the age
of the existing libc says it is close to three months
old:
http://cvsweb.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/lib/libc/shlib_version.diff?r1=1.201&r2=1.202&f=h

If this happened to me, I'd run a
ls /usr/lib/libc.so.*
and see what the output of that is, compared to what the snapshot port
wanted (.95.0) and then either wait until
arm snaps show base6x.tgz comes with such a libc, or grab current sources
and compile the base system yourself
to get uptodate (the FAQ has good guides on how this is done)

The following assumes you're running -current on bare metal. If you're
running -current on a virtual machine, I don't know how to help you.
Sorry.

1. Reboot.
2. Type "bsd.rd" at the boot prompt.
3. Upgrade your system.
4. Once you're done, restart and run "pkg_add -Dsnap -Uu"
   to upgrade your existing packages.

If you're running -current and you can't install a package because of
"versions" or a "bad major", it's because new snapshots just hit the
server and your installation is out of date.

Most likely you have old packages lying around from building
strawberry before. Try "make clean; make clean=all; make repackage reinstall"

Hello John,

Hi!

do you have PKG_PATH Variable set to an old version ?
eg
export PKG_PATH=https://fastly.cdn.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/$(6.3/packages/amd64/

export PKG_PATH=https://fastly.cdn.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/$(uname
-r)/packages/$(uname -p)/

you can remove the PKG_PATH variable as installurl now helps
find the correct packages from your favourite mirror

and simply populate /etc/installurl
with the url of your favourite mirror,
man installurl for more details

Unfortunately, I already use /etc/installurl (with
https://cdn.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD) and have $PKG_PATH unset.

Missing libraries after upgrade to 6.4

2018-12-20 Thread John Ankarström

Hello all,

I have this port [1] that installed fine on 6.3, but after I upgraded to
6.4, following the FAQ, I'm getting weird errors.

When running make install, it fails because qtbase-5.9.4 can't be
installed, which is weird that it wants to do, because the version in
ports is 5.9.6p1. Here's the output: http://sprunge.us/z6d97h

When I try to run make rebuild, it complains about missing libraries for
Qt5 stuff: http://sprunge.us/oEDaKE

Some proof that I've actually upgraded:

$ uname -a
OpenBSD lbsd.home 6.4 GENERIC.MP#364 amd64

$ cd /usr/ports; cvs status Makefile
[...]
Sticky Tag: OPENBSD_6_4 (branch: 1.77.2)
[...]

Anybody got any idea as to what's going on?

Best regards,
John
