since Asterisk 11 I must use ODBC connector to
MariaDB.
Unfortunately I cannot find any practical info concerning OpenBSD,
Asterisk, ODBC and MariaDB.
I tried iodbc package but I cannot find mysql drivers.
The iodbc package just contains the ODBC library, it doesn't come with
any database drivers

Hello all,
I want to use Asterisk with MariaDB CDR backend.
I have working Asterisk.
I have working MariaDB.
As far as I understand, since Asterisk 11 I must use ODBC connector to
MariaDB.
Unfortunately I cannot find any practical info concerning OpenBSD,
Asterisk, ODBC and MariaDB.

I then installed the php4-odbc package and the warning did not appear
anymore.
So the final solution for me in my OpenBSD 3.8 was:

Hi,
Has anyone succeded in using iodbc or unixodbc to access a remote database
ODBC-compliant?
I need to use some data from a SQL Server for the application I'm
developping (PHP+MySQL on OpenBSD) but I don't find any information about
how to proceed.
I can install the iodbc package on a OpenBSD

Another possibility is perl.
I've been using DBD::Proxy/DBI::Proxyserver across Unix - Windows
to get an HTML::Mason app directly talking to an Access database, and
I'm in the process of migrating it to DBIx::Class (often enough Catalyst).
This does just work. The only downside is that you need
as to the best package to
install on the OpenBSD machine to provide that ODBC support?
Thanks in advance.

Hi All:
Sorry, made a few mistakes in my original post...
We're going to be using an OpenBSD 4.0 machine to collect employee
Punch-in data and store that data in a form similar to that of a Microsoft
Access Database file. We would then like to access that data from our
mainframe via ODBC
then like to access that data from our
mainframe via ODBC to retreive the records.
Would you be so kind as to lend your opinion as to the best package(s) to
install on the OpenBSD machine to provide that ODBC functionality?
Thanks in advance.
Fred
Ah, this is a little different
the records.

It's included in the base install. ftp
I'm not being sarcastic here either. Since it's a comma delimited file
to access that data from our mainframe via openbsd to
retreive the records.

Since it's not really clear to me what you intend to so, I am assuming
the following:
+ Your mainframe runs a Windows platform
+ Your OpenBSD
