I guess this means that the 2A was introduced last month and the specs are different to the older version, otherwise there'd be no need for an update. Comparing with the version at archive.org shows the newer card has worse sensitivity and more output power. This could easily be consistent with a change of chipset.

It is surecom 9321g/2A I never heard a report of the original 802.11b rtw PCI cards actually working. For RTL8185 the code to talk to the RF tranceiver is not yet working, so it can not possibly work right now. This is the first I've heard of RTL8185 products being available in the retail market. So no, not supported for the moment.
