And that’s what I used if you read my mail correctly.

553 ORCPT address syntax error

2020-06-15 Thread Tony Boston
Hi,

I have an issue with forwarding mails which belong to the local root user.
I never had that and it seems something changed in opensmtpd?

In /etc/mail/aliases I used to say
  root: sys...@example.com

This always worked but stopped working and the following error pops up in the
logs:
smtp failed-command command="RCPT TO: ORCPT=rfc822;root"
result="553 ORCPT address syntax error”

It actually does work when I try something like ‘echo Test | mail
sys...@example.com’ BUT 'echo Test | mail root’ does not

Am I missing something?

sympa mailing lists

2019-10-14 Thread Tony Boston
Hi misc@

I have an issue finding the correct syntax in smtp.conf.

Sympa Docs say the following

table sympa db:$SYSCONFIDR/sympa_domain_aliases.db
accept from any for any recipient virtual

table lists db:$SENDMAIL_ALIASES.db
accept from any for any recipient virtual

#
# Here may be the rules for addresses excluded from mailing list service.
#

table sympa_domains { "mail.example.org" }
reject from any for domain

I just don’t know how to write those rules in respect to the new syntax in
OpenSMTPd.
Could someone give any advise?

Cheers
