Evolution hangs

2009-06-10 Thread Bill Maas
Hi,

it's Evolution once again: hangs for no apparent reason while I'm typing
a message (the one previously posted, in fact;). Hope that this will be
of any use, grabbed while Evolution was hanging:

exo...@borealis:~$ kdump -p 20329

Are you using current or 4.5?

4.5, without a single patch applied, I'm ashamed to admit (I'm still in
transition, desktop-wise). The only relevant patch could be the i386/DMA
one, but I doubt that that's the cause. Evolution has seen a bumpy early
life on other OSes as well, but you're no doubt aware of that.

*lots* (and I mean really lots) of fixes for GNOME went in after 4.5. If
you want to use GNOME on OpenBSD you should run -current.
This may change in the future when -stable ports come into shape but for
now, you should really run the latest.

The other bug your mentioned (where evolution would crash when deleting
a message under some circumstances) is not reproducible on -current.

Cheers!
