zoran driver use a dma engine and needs a minimum number of
buffers to be present before start streaming.
That is 'min_dma_buffers_needed' purpose so use it instead
of 'min_buffers_needed' field.

One thing comes into my mind, it might be that the configure script
checks if the mjpegtools libraries are available and only activates
it automatic if it finds them the Option that force yuv4mpeg is:
--enable-yuv4mpeg.

Yes.
One thing I dont quite get. I am new to all this video encoding stuff and I see all
these forums (mjpeg included) where smart guys are fiddling parameters endlessly to
get what they want

of, which uses jpeg-mmx is the mjpeg
handling in the lav* tools. The encoder (mpeg2enc) itself does
not use jpeg-mmx.
Thats funny. Without changing anything else, I just re-compiled the mjpegtools tarball
(1.6.1-90) _after_ installing jpeg-mmx and mpeg2enc started to work properly
buffer size may not be big enough. How do I go
about changing this? I've had a look at
http://roguelife.org/~fujita/MJPEG/mplex.html, but am still not sure what option
alters the Vbv buffer size.
Many thanks for the advice so far,
Si.

Dear MJPEG users,
I'm trying to mplex a 1.73GB mpv file and a 47.7MB mp2 file using sizzle 0.02r
or ffmpegX v0.06f. However it fails with the output below (from sizzle). Both
audio and video files are created via Mediapipe from a 30 mins, 5.52GB,
Quicktime Movie file that was exported from
, with the exception of movtar,
which I don't use anyway.
./configure --with-dv-yv12 --with-quicktime=/usr/include/quicktime/
MJPEG tools 1.6.1 build configuration :
- X86 Optimizations:
- MMX/3DNow!/SSE enabled : true
- cmov support enabled: true
