For anyone that's interested in giving the SGI-MJPEG a try, an SGI-MJPEG sample file is available for download at:
http://www.kalisiak.com/mjpeg/chris.movie
It's a few seconds long clip of a duck in a pond, and also includes an audio stream.
Again, the hope is to be able to use MJPEG Tools to compress these SGI-MJPEG streams to MPEG-2 for burning onto DVD.
