Hi!
I am not sure whether this is the correct ML for this posting, but I
think it is not completely wrong.
I saw that the colour palette used in the online Typ file editor has too

Hi WanMil,
The patch closes all ways having both endpoints on the same side
outside the bounding box. In this case it is not necessary to check
if closing the way intersects the way itself.
This fixes most (but not all) of the outstanding tile splitter
problems.
I still see some
I would like to commit this patch, to bring natural=coastline to the
same level with other water features (natural=water, landuse=reservoir,
waterway=river).
This patch would reduce the size of the Finland map by about 200
kilobytes and speed up map browsing at low resolution (wide zoom).
Addendum:
POIs that have no address tagged get Fix my address in the Info
screen. That is OK for restaurants, shops, etc. but there are also many
POIs that have no address, e.g. bus stops. So there Fix my address
makes not so much sense. What do you think?

a while back, the increase of the dp filter in low resolutions has to be
much higher. Currently a level of 10 is very good, but too strong for
resolutions 23-21 and a bit too strong for 20.

is location-autofill=2 good enough? Else maybe one should look at the
corrections maptk does on mp file.
May I use this opportunity to remember that some weeks ago i posted a question

Hi,
Is there anyone else who has tried to use a transparent overlay on an
mkgmap builded map which is containing address-index, eg. openmtbmap.org
maps?.
Everytime i tried it, the index no more works on the gps.
Instead using the same overlay with an original garmin map which

As this patch fixes the problem that Garvan reported and no one has
reported that it has broken anything I will commit it in a day or so
unless any -ve reports come in.

Hi WanMil,
I give a very big GO for commit to this patch :-)
I am not familiar with the MP code so it would be better if someone who
is familiar with it commits it rather than me as I prefer to only
commit stuff that I understand!
Hope you don't have to wait to long.
Cheers,

Hi!
Yesterday I went to a Stammtisch, a point where some friends meet each
month. The bar where we meet is tagged as a pub. That seems to be
correct, I asked the owner. You can eat there mexican food and drink
cocktails. When I was near the location I asked my garmin with my
brandnew map to

Or better: Which POI should I give to a pub that it can be found in food

Personally, in a style file I use:
amenity=pub [0x2a11 resolution 20]
which translates as British Restaurant. This works for me in England
but obviously may not be ideal for you...
