Maybe you have the same problem here which I described for road
name search when road names contain special characters. In your case

Hi Ticker,
thanks, seems that Uil found an error here. Can you add a unit test that shows
where this code is relevant?

Hi all,
I am not sure what to think about the suggestions. My understanding of the
feature is that it can help to ease address search,
but this only works when the user is able to guess the list of prefix1 words,
correct?
So, when you create the map for your own, use whatever you like, else I wo

What needs to be embedded into the map, is the Location Table which maps
the location IDs in the TMC messages to roads, junctions etc in the map
network. The radio messages only contain location IDs, not lat/lon.
Not all location tables are available as open data - each country has
its own ideas.

I use a gmapsupp.img generated with a reduced style derived from the
default mkgmap-style . Routing for cars works fine, if the routes are
short. But if I try to plan a long journey (1000 km). The route
calculation gets stuck for some minutes at lets say 80 percent and
finally comes to a result. B
Hi Dominik,
okay, I remember one such barrier after an s-curve on a rather narrow hw=track
going downhill. Unwarned, one may arrive with +30 km/h at it.
Still. I doubt that we can find a good way to display them. Please try and let
us know your results.

I have a strange problem.
With a particular split of 'british-isles', one map from the split
causes the list of cities in the Find>Address function to be empty.
Find>Address does still find streets, but not this is not very useful
when cannot limit by City first.
Excluding this particular map bu
One way is to extract the barriers your self (perhaps use GPSMapEdit) and
create a line or circle and save it as a separate mp or osm.
I would experiment with barriers near you and judge how effective such lines
would be.

Hi all,
Is there any way to transform (user-defined) POIs into short ways?
It is quite helpful to see potentially hazardous barriers of any kind in
advance on the GPS when cycling. Unfortunately, my device does not care
for mkgmap's resolution settings when it comes to POIs and chooses by
