[mlpack] GSoC blogs

2021-07-06 Thread Ryan Curtin
Hey everyone,

If you are trying to follow along the different GSoC projects, each
student has a blog. I collected them all into one place in this email
(in part for my own convenience :)) and hopefully these links are useful
to you too. :)

 - Gopi's blog ("Replacing boost::spirit") is on github.io:
   https://heisenbuug.github.io/

 - Nippun's blog ("Revamp mlpack bindings") is on github.io:
   https://nippunsharma.github.io/

 - Rishabh ("Improve Tree Ensemble Support") posts updates to the
mailing list, so keep your eyes peeled here (e.g.
   http://knife.lugatgt.org/pipermail/mlpack/2021-June/004592.html ).

 - Aakash's blog ("Ready to use Models in mlpack") is on Medium:
https://kaushikaakash7539.medium.com/; he also posts friend links
to the mailing list to bypass the paywall.

 - Roshan's blog ("Example Zoo") is also on Medium:
   https://knowviole.medium.com/

 - Sai's blog ("A Framework for Multiobjective Optimizers") is on Medium
too: https://jonpsy101.medium.com/; friend links also get posted to
   the mailing list.

 - David's blog ("Example Zoo") is also on Medium:
   https://art3mis-17.medium.com/

 - Abhinav ("Improvisation and Implementation of ANN Modules") also
posts updates to the mailing list (e.g.
   http://knife.lugatgt.org/pipermail/mlpack/2021-June/004589.html ).

Anyway, hope the links are useful! And if I got anyone's links
incorrect, please feel free to issue an update. :)

Thanks,

Ryan

Hey there everyone,

We're now in the coding period for GSoC! I've collected all of the
different blogs where students are sending their updates:

 - Nishant Kumar, Addition of Rainbow and Soft Actor-Critic to RL
   codebase: https://nishantkr18.github.io/GSoC-2020-mlpack/

 - Kartik Dutt, Application of ANN Algorithms:
   https://medium.com/@kartikduttmd

 - Yashwant Singh, R bindings for mlpack:
   https://medium.com/@yashwantsingh.sngh

 - Himanshu Pathak, Implementing Essential Deep Learning Module:
   https://medium.com/@hpathak336

 - Anjishnu Mukherjee, Improvisation and Implementation of ANN Modules:
   https://iamshnoo.github.io/blog/

 - Omar Shrit, mlpack on resource-constrained devices:
   https://shrit.me/blog/

 - Mrityunjay Tripathi, Transformer and BERT in mlpack:
   https://mrityunjay-tripathi.github.io/gsoc-with-mlpack/

 - Jeffin Sam, Visualization Tool: https://www.mlpack.org/gsocblog/

There are some good music and video recommendations in the various blog
posts that I have definitely enjoyed. And also all the details of the
cool work that is going on too, of course! :)
