Hi,

This is indeed not implemented, and as you mentioned, a workaround is using 
“deactivate cards”, e.g. by having a tag called ‘skipped’, which you deactivate.

In general, for feature requests, please see our uservoice forum. I believe a 
feature like this was already suggested, so you can add your vote to it.

I would love to see an update that allows you to temporarily skip a card. If I 
am reviewing a number of cards and get a difficult one, if I could skip it and 
do a few cards and then see it again mixed in a random order, I could probably 
recall it. What I do now in such cases is to close and reopen Mnemosyne, or 
deactivate that category temporarily, both annoying and not completely 
effective fixes.
